Terms & Community Guidelines

Effective 27 September 2026

Terms of Service

Welcome to Juna, a place to log and rank personal-care products you have tried and discover what other members think of them. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Romy Greenwald, operating as Juna (“Juna,” “we,” or “us”).

By creating an account or using Juna, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines, below. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about you.

1. Who can use Juna

Juna is for people aged 13 and older. Some countries set a higher minimum age for services like Juna, and where they do, that higher age applies. When you join, we ask your date of birth and the country you live in so we can apply the right minimum age. Your answers must be true.

If you are below the minimum age for your country, you can’t create an account. In some countries, the law requires a parent’s or guardian’s permission for people of certain ages to use a service like Juna. Juna does not currently collect that permission, so it isn’t available to you in those countries until you reach the age at which permission is no longer required. If you are under 18, we encourage you to read these Terms with a parent or guardian.

Juna may not be available in every country, and we may change where it is available. It isn’t currently available to people who live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

You may have one account. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly at support@junasocial.com if you believe someone has used your account without permission. You may not use Juna if we have closed your account for violating these Terms, unless we allow you to return.

2. Your content

You keep the rights you have in the logs, rankings, notes, lists, comments, profile information, photos, and other content you post (“your content”). You are responsible for your content and must have the rights and permissions needed to post it, including permission from anyone identifiable in a photo.

You agree to give Juna a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote Juna. This includes, but is not limited to, showing content according to your account settings, creating features such as share cards and link previews, and featuring content you have shared publicly in Juna’s own marketing. We may use service providers to do this for us. Juna may also combine product scores and rankings from many members into insights that don’t identify anyone, and publish, share, or sell those insights.

This license lasts while your content is on Juna. When you delete your content or your account, it is removed from Juna, with two exceptions. Your product scores stay in Juna’s averages and rankings with nothing attached that identifies you; once anonymous, they are no longer your content, and Juna may keep using them. And marketing materials we made with your content before you deleted it may continue to be used. Deletion is also subject to reasonable technical processing, backups, and legal obligations. Other members may take screenshots or share information they are permitted to see; Juna cannot retrieve those outside copies.

3. Community rules

Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. You may not harass others, impersonate anyone, invade someone’s privacy, post material you do not have permission to use, spam members, or manipulate rankings or engagement.

Rank products based on your genuine experience. If you received payment, a free product, a discount, or another benefit connected to a product you discuss, disclose it clearly in the relevant post. Do not present a product as one you have used if you have not tried it.

You may not give false information about your age or country. You may not try to get around a block, a private account, or a restriction we have placed on your account, for example by creating another account. You may not use Juna to break the law, interfere with the service, scrape member information, access accounts or data without permission, or use automated systems to create accounts or manipulate activity.

4. Who sees what, reporting, and moderation

Visibility. Accounts of members aged 18 or over start public. Any signed-in member can find a public profile and see its shelf, lists, and activity. Accounts of members under 18 start private. Any member can switch between public and private in Settings.

A private account’s shelf, lists, and activity are visible only to followers it has approved. When someone asks to follow a private account, the owner decides whether to approve the request. Private accounts don’t appear on leaderboards. They appear in people search only for members who already follow them.

A log you mark as stealth is shown only to you. Stealth mode is available once you have unlocked it.

If you block someone, neither of you can see the other’s profile, activity, or comments. Blocking also removes any follows between you, and unblocking doesn’t bring them back. You can unblock someone in Settings → Blocked members. People who aren’t signed in to Juna can’t browse member profiles. The Privacy Policy explains all of this in more detail.

Reports. You can report a profile, log, or comment from its menu, or by emailing support@junasocial.com. A person reviews every report. We don’t tell the member you report who reported them.

Moderation. We may remove content, limit its visibility, restrict features, suspend an account, or close it when we believe content or behavior violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law. We may act without advance notice when needed to protect people or the service. We cannot promise to identify or remove every violation. Juna also automatically stops comments, notes, list names, and profile details that contain certain words, such as slurs, from being posted.

When we remove your content or restrict, suspend, or close your account, we will tell you what we did and why. We won’t do this where telling you would put someone at risk or where the law prevents it.

Appeals. If you think we made a mistake, email support@junasocial.com within six months of the decision, and a person will review it.

5. Keeping younger members safe

Juna gives members under 18 extra protection by default:

  • their account starts private, so only followers they approve can see their shelf, lists, and activity;
  • their city and school start hidden from their profile;
  • no member ever sees anyone’s date of birth or country.

Members under 18 can make their account public in Settings. If they do, their profile, shelf, lists, and activity become visible to other members in the same way as any public account, as described in section 4.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it. If an account belongs to someone below the minimum age for their country, we suspend it until they reach that age, or delete it on request. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using Juna without meeting these requirements, contact support@junasocial.com.

6. Product information and health

Juna displays products and rankings so members can share their personal experiences. Juna does not independently test, certify, or verify products. A product’s inclusion, score, or position in a list is not Juna’s endorsement or a guarantee that it is safe, effective, or right for you.

Members’ rankings, notes, and comments are personal opinions, not medical, dermatological, or other professional advice. Products affect people differently. Read labels and warnings, and consult a qualified professional about a health condition, allergy, or treatment.

Product details and images may be incomplete or inaccurate. Juna does not manufacture or sell the products members discuss. Unless we clearly state otherwise, Juna is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by a featured brand.

7. Juna’s materials and third-party rights

Juna’s name, design, software, and materials we provide belong to Juna or our licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.

Product names and logos may be trademarks of their respective owners. Product images and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. If you believe material on Juna infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@junasocial.com with enough information for us to locate and review it. We may remove infringing material and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Juna may link to third-party websites or services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you use them.

8. Your data and deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings, or request deletion at support@junasocial.com. To ask for a copy of your data, email support@junasocial.com and we will send it to the address on your account. If your account is suspended, including because of your age, you can still ask us by email to delete it.

Deletion removes your account and associated content from the active service. Your product scores stay in Juna’s averages and rankings with nothing attached that identifies you, as described in section 2. If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also disconnects Juna from your Apple ID. Limited information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained for security, legal obligations, or disputes, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion cannot be undone.

9. Changes to Juna and these Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may also update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will show you the new Terms in the app and ask you to accept them before you continue. We will do this before the change takes effect, unless a faster change is needed for legal, security, or safety reasons.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep Juna available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, Juna is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the service. Juna’s total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid Juna in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not permit them.

11. Resolving disputes

Before filing a legal claim about Juna, please email support@junasocial.com with a description of the issue and the resolution you seek. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Either side may bring an eligible claim in small-claims court.

Other disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Durham County, North Carolina. The laws of North Carolina govern these Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class action.

If you live outside the United States, you keep the protection of any consumer laws in your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract. That includes any right to bring a claim in your local courts.

12. App stores

If you downloaded Juna from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and Juna, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for Juna or its content, and have no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Other terms

If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision once does not waive our right to enforce it later. These Terms and the Community Guidelines form the agreement between you and Juna about your use of the service.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@junasocial.com.

Community Guidelines

Juna is a place to rank the products you actually use and see what your friends swear by. It works when people can trust what they read and feel comfortable taking part.

Be honest. Log products you have really tried and rank them based on your own experience. Do not invent reviews, impersonate someone, create fake engagement, or use multiple accounts to manipulate activity. If a brand or seller paid you, gave you a free product or discount, or offered another benefit connected to a product you discuss, say so clearly in the relevant post. Give your real date of birth and country when you join.

Be kind. Disagree about products without attacking people. Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, shame, or use hateful language toward anyone. Do not encourage others to target a member. Some words, such as slurs, can’t be posted at all: Juna won’t save a comment, note, list name, or profile detail that contains them.

Respect privacy and people’s choices. Do not share someone else’s address, phone number, private messages, photos, school schedule, or other personal details without permission. Take extra care with information about anyone under 18. If someone blocks you, keeps their account private, or declines your follow request, respect it. Don’t try to get around it with another account or by asking others to pass things on.

Post content you have permission to share. Use photos and text that are yours or that you have the right to post. Do not upload an image of another person without permission. Product and profile photos must not include nudity, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, or other disturbing material. We remove sexual content involving minors and report it to the appropriate authorities.

Keep Juna about products. Do not post spam, scams, referral schemes, counterfeit listings, unrelated promotion, or attempts to sell products through member interactions. Do not use Juna to arrange illegal transactions.

Be careful with health claims. Describe your own experience, but do not tell others to ignore product warnings or medical advice. Do not post dangerous instructions or present unsupported claims about treating a medical condition as established fact.

Report and block. Every profile, log, and comment has a menu with Report and Block. You can also email support@junasocial.com with a link or description. A person reviews every report, and we don’t tell the member you report who reported them. Blocking prevents two members from seeing each other’s profiles or activity. You can see and unblock the members you’ve blocked in Settings → Blocked members. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

We may remove content, limit its visibility, restrict features, or suspend or close an account when these Guidelines are broken. We consider the severity and context of a violation and may act immediately for serious safety issues. When we act on your content or account, we’ll tell you what we did and why. If you believe we made a mistake, email support@junasocial.com to request a review.
